1928

Heinrich Siepmann founded the company as a taxi and omnibus business

1934

The purchase of the first tipper enabled the start of mass transit operations 

1939

Compulsory recruitment of Mr Heinrich Siepmann and his tipper 

1946

Resumption of business activities with one tipper (mainly slag and cement operations) 

1952

Aloys Siepmann, son of the founder, entered the employment of the company at the age of 18. Commencement of international transport. Our truck fleet comprised of two tippers. 

1954

A truck tractor with trailer was put into operation as the first tank vehicle. Transport of fuel oil. 

1963

Mrs Margret Siepmann (maiden surname Broden) started work for the company and took over administrative duties. The first transport contracts for the chemical industry were carried out. The truck fleet comprised of 6 vehicles (tank vehicles, truck tractors & trailers) 

1972

Following the death of the company´s founder, Aloys Siepmann took over the company and its management. The company now operates under the name Aloys Siepmann GmbH & Co. KG. 10 vehicles form the truck fleet. 

1986

Ms Gabriele Rohte (daughter) is employed as administrative assistant. 

1987

Ms Gabriele Rohte founded in sole proprietorship the company "Gabriele Rohte Transporte". She was granted a long-distance haulage licence, commencement of national long-distance haulage for the Siepmann company. 

1988

Change of name in "Chemikalien und Flüssigkeitstransporte A. Siepmann GmbH". First licence for international long-distance haulage. Truck fleet: 17 vehicles.

1991

Mr Wolfgang Siepmann is employed as administrative assistant. (Released from his employment from October ´91 until October ´93 in order to study at the DAV, Bremen).

1992

Transport licence for transporting waste materials and commencement of waste haulage.

1994

Wolfgang Siepmann, working for the company since 1991, is appointed Managing Director at his father´s side.

1995

July, start of building up a quality management system in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9002
September, Mrs Margret Siepmann leaves the employment of the company.

1996

Certification of the quality management system in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9002 (July)

1997

Certification as specialist company for waste disposal in accordance with the specialist company for waste disposal ordinance

1998

June - Appraisal in accordance with the Safety and Quality Assessment System (SQAS).

1999

Further expansion of business activities. Increase in turnover by approx. 25 percent

2000

Further expansion of business activities and increase in turnover by more than 35 percent

2001

Test phase for the introduction of board computers, consolidation and a further increase in turnover by 13 percent

2002

Change-over to a purely EDP-supported dispatch. Conclusion of test phase and introduction of board computers

2003

Recertification of the management system in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9001

2004

Introduction of a tracking and tracing systems. Customers can pursue the course of transport of their orders via internet.

2005

Our first silo trailer is put into operation

2006

Introduction of driver training in accordance with Behaviour Based Safety (BBS)
Commencement of our first multimodal operations Recertification of the management system in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9001:2000 and as specialist company for waste disposal in accordance with the specialist company for waste disposal ordinance.
Renewed assessment in accordance with the Safety and Quality Assessment System (SQAS)

2007

Further expansion of business activities, capacity and increase in turnover by 25 % respectively. Further development of the tracking and tracing system. Our customers receive information about weight, planned arrival schedules etc. in real time from the vehicle.
Olaf Fügemann, who has been working for our company since 2003, is promoted to freight forwarding manager and is now registered manager.

2008

Establishment of AdBlue-Transport. For this, 7 vehicles were purchased which are used only for AdBlue. They are deployed throughout Germany. In order to ensure maximum safety levels, all vehicles are purchased with state-of-the-art safety technology. This includes in particular lane guard assistance systems and adaptive cruise control. By the end of 2008, 30% of our fleet had already been accordingly equipped.

At the end of 2008, the individual company Rohte was taken over by A Siepmann GmbH.

2009

Further expansion of Air1 business to a total of 9 vehicles.

Introduction of a new generation of telematic equipment to which digital tachometers are also linked so that the driver can provide the dispatcher with driving times etc. in real-time.

At the end of 2009 45 % of all our vehicles are equipped with optimum safety technology.
